Dr. Joshua LeVine, DMD, MD
Biography
A native of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Dr. Joshua LeVine is a dual-degree, board-eligible oral and maxillofacial surgeon dedicated to delivering expert, patient-centered care.
A top graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. LeVine earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, graduating *summa cum laude*. Inspired by his grandfather, a prosthodontist in Vermont, he developed an early passion for dentistry. During college, a personal experience with complex facial trauma and reconstructive surgery deepened his appreciation for the specialty and strengthened his desire to pursue a career in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where he received several awards for clinical excellence and graduated with honors. While at Harvard, he served as president of the Oral Surgery Journal Club and was named a Scholar in Dental Education, underscoring his leadership in academics and teaching.

Dr. LeVine completed a six-year oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Rutgers University, which included earning his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. His training also included a full general surgery internship at University Hospital, a Level I trauma center. In his final year of residency, he served as Chief Resident — a role that recognized his surgical expertise and leadership within the program.
Throughout his residency, Dr. LeVine gained extensive experience across the full spectrum of oral and maxillofacial surgery, treating patients in both hospital and office-based settings. His clinical training included complex facial trauma reconstruction, orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery, benign and malignant pathology, nerve repair, facial reconstruction, TMJ surgery, cleft lip and palate repair, and facial cosmetic procedures.
Dr. LeVine developed a particular interest in advanced full-arch implant rehabilitation, including zygomatic and pterygoid implants, and immediate-load “teeth-in-a-day” procedures. He regularly integrates digital planning software and virtual surgical technology to design custom treatment plans, using 3D-printed surgical guides and patient-specific implants for precise correction of jaw deformities, traumatic injuries, and complex implant cases.
He is certified in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS, and is an active member of AAOMS, ACOMS, NJSOMS, the ADA, and NJDA. He also volunteers on international mission trips, most recently treating children with cleft lip and palate through Smile Bangladesh.
Outside of surgery, Dr. LeVine enjoys traveling, staying active in the gym, rooting for the Birds, and spending time with family and friends.
